Engineered stone is a quartz-composite product mixed with colored pebbles, polymers and epoxy. Because the mix is uniform, engineered stone has no fissures, veins, or other imperfections that could compromise the strength of natural stone, or make it hard to match seams. It combines the durability of granite with the colorful palette of solid surfacing. Engineered stone has a very distinct look, combining a crystalline luster with a subtle shimmer.

Care and Cleaning
Offering a look similar to natural stone without its maintenance, engineered stone does not chip, crack or discolor. Engineered stone can withstand exposure to tea, soda, wine, vinegar, lemon juice and strongly colored spices. Engineered stone can tolerate moderately hot temperatures for brief periods of time without warping, discoloring or being damaged. Engineered stone is nonporous and will keep its lustrous gloss and ultra smooth surface without polishing. Engineered stone does not require sealing.

Finishes
Engineered stone is available in polished and honed (matte) finishes and marble-like textures. Types of finish available may vary by color.
